Investment

We use the word "project" to describe a big man who will not be able to contribute immediately, but might be on down the line. "Investment" might be the better term (at least on that is more optimistic). It is a risk, but at our level, big men who are ready to contribute right off the bat are rare, and having a couple of projects in the pipeline is a good practice.
