love it
The football teams that I love to see lose are those who have a high-powered passing offense - and nothing else.

time is getting short
I am not quite as quick on the trigger as a lot of fans. I think that taking the long term view pays dividends. However, given the time that Steve Shields has been at Little Rock, I think it is time to see some results. Assuming no roster turnover, he will have five seniors this year and next year. If we cannot win either the tournament or the regular season, then he probably needs to move on down the road. I am not particular which he wins, although the regular season is a lot more impressive to me than a short tournament – but we ought to be able to get one of them.
In the meantime, I am sticking with my prediction that this will be his last season regardless. I might be wrong, but that is what I think.

4-YEAR PLAYERS
If Bails and Courtney really come through this year (and throw in Mouzy), it will somewhat vindicate my contention that patience and development of 4-year (or 5-year) players is the way to go.

football
Football is the only major sport where a significant portion of the team (offensive line), since they do not handle the ball, get essentially no public credit, no matter how well they do their jobs.
