Underestimated?

I am guessing that we will be undervalued in the pre-season predictions again this year, even though we have three starters returning from a division championship team.

Last year the loss of one key post player (Brett Royster) made a huge difference in FAU's team. They were not the same after he left. I wonder if the same will be true with MTSU after the loss of LaRon Dendy.

White at the 3?

James White might end up being the answer at the small forward spot next year. He has had time to learn our system, he reportedly has put on some muscle and hopefully matured a year. Will Neighbour could be a defensively liability at the 3. Fondren is too small. Lockhart faded badly late last year. White could be the man. We need to get that position set.

David Thompson - the most exciting player ever

David Thompson was absolutely the most exciting basketball player I ever saw play (on TV). He was just so explosive in his jumping. He would soar above the rest of the players for alley-oops, etc. He was not all that tall, but he played really tall. Forget Michael Jordan! This is the man.

"Go to" men

I love good defense, but come tournament time, you have to have at least one "go to" offensive player to be successful. Defense will get you close, keep you close, but at crunch time you have to have that ice-water shooter.
