Dissect the season to enjoy it

If the season is going poorly (as ours is at the moment), then just slice it up into little sections. The obvious ones are non-conference, conference, and post-season. Or, if it works, cut it into parts even smaller than that. We did right well in November, when we were 6-2. I wish the season as a whole had been better, but I am not going to let it spoil my enjoyment of November.
