Statistical oddities

They mean practically nothing, but I am intrigued when I encounter freakish statistical situations. For example, this past season, Southern Illinois shot 45.3% overall on 1827 attempts. Their opponents collectively shot 45.3%, except on 1687 attempts. That means nothing, except that the Salukis managed to take more shots than their opponents. But it is (very) mildly interesting.
