Yesterday Stetson Billings started the game, but did not end up with starter's minutes. Marcus Johnson had more minutes than he did. Johnson had 20 points and his best effort in quite a while. Stetson meanwhile had only 6 points, but tied for the lead in rebounds (6) and assists (4), had zero turnovers, and threw in a block and a steal for good measure. In short, Stetson did a lot of things right. Little things. The things that games. We did win the game, by the way. Johnson got the headlines because of his scoring, but I wonder if we would have won if he had started at point guard.
Glue guys win games but don't get headlines.
